I don't know about all you other artists out there, but I love to create/paint when the weather is not all bright and sunny. Although I can and do create art during 'nice' weather, I prefer to create it when its rainy, cloudy, or snowing out. I always wondered why that was...These last couple days of snow got me really creating from my box of paints and pencils. Makes me feel more in tune with my 'painter soul'. It sure beats working on taxes! Oh, how boring that is...soooo non-creative...
Well, just a few thoughts on creating during 'off weather'. If any artist 'stumbles' upon my art blog, please add a comment to this and tell me how you feel. Blogging is fairly new to me, but I'm getting tired of talking to myself!
Here's a link to my limited edition tulip print that I have been hand-coloring for a client. I printed "Tulip Serenade," in black and white and then if requested, I hand-color the print in color pencil, which usually takes about 10 - 12 hours.

Puffin Animal Art at devaart.com

This is a thumbnail of one of my animal paintings that I had reproduced as a limited edition giclee print. Click here to view larger image. The original was painted in gouache (opaque watercolor), which is a medium that I use the most. Puffins are one of my favorite subjects to paint, as they are not only beautiful, but they have a whimsical appearance, as well.
The border surrounding the puffins is filled with swirling, twirling branch-like images that seem to be dancing around these adorable birds. If you are interested in one of my puffin giclee prints, please go to this page on my animal art web site. If you also paint puffins, please post comments about it. Also, post a link(s) to any of your puffin paintings.
